The Great Teacher Inspires!

W. MacGormans's influence, mentoring and inspiration has been apart of my life since having him as a professor during my Masters work at Southwestern Seminary from 1984-1987. He has been teaching since 1948, by the time, I first met him, first heard him, in 1984! He was very gracious, and kind. He would walk into class with nothing more than his Greek New Testament, he needed nothing else! He would then translate the scripture...into English on the spot...

The First Woman that Loved this Guy!

She must have captured my heart, with a smile, followed quickly by a hug, so warm, so comforting, so full of tenderness . I didn't know it then (How could I) but that first hug would be the beginning of soothing comfort, wise council, and reassurance that no matter how hard life was...she would be there for me. And to think,it all started with that first hug. Of all the women in the world, how thankful I am that the first woman that ever loved me, was to become the picture of kindness, and concern, and someone who would teach me through the formative years of my life, that to be kind and considerate to others was an essential part of personal development! Prayer Answered!

Pray, pray about it...just pray ! Often in response to a challenging life situation we are be told to pray, or we tell someone else to pray . Does prayer change anything...really? Yes! Prayer changes us : The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working ( James 5:16). Great power...working power, affecting change? Yes! Not only does prayer change us... Prayer changes perception: In the book of 2 Kings chapter 6 we read the fascinating account of a Syrian King who was beside himself because the Prophet Elisha knew of his plans to attack Israel (God revealed them) before he could have his plans to harm Israel carried out. So he decides to have the Prophet arrested. When the large contention of soldiers arrive, Elisha's servant is afraid ...the Prophet asks God to change the servants perspective by opening his eyes to the vast protective armies of God, that are usually unseen! Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, please
