Jesus, will meet you there!

While Life is not easy, being alive is a great honor! Have you ever really stopped to think of all the things that just “happened” for you to be you? Your parents met, they expressed their love in act of intimacy, and your life began. Life from life…. and love. Perhaps your arrival came not from love but an act of violence, either way you’re here, and you matter! You grew up, and learned so much. You learned the importance of sharing and the way you felt when left out.

You experienced school, and rules and expectations and time lines and deadlines and well…lines. Lines for lunch, lines for water, lines in the cafeteria. Life you found out early is about waiting your turn.  And you experienced achievement, on a spelling test or math test (Not me) and in the way your teacher (hopefully) observed your conduct around others.

Childhood slipped away, and the teen years arrived, and the quest to discover who you were, began in a dramatic new way.  You found yourself labeled based on your skill set be it athletics, music or the many other ways human beings express themselves, by their interests.

Teen years passed, adult years beckoned and away you went. Some to College, some to the military some to work…but we all went somewhere! Today you are somewhere! It may or may not be where you thought you would be, but it is what it is, and we need to accept our location but never quit reaching for something more. You were meant for more!

It is comforting for me to know that the Lord has a plan for each of us, and that plan came into being before time:

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. (Ephesians 1:4). NLT

I believe that God wants your life, He wants you, and He has a plan for you. The opportunity to respond to Him is now!

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John1:12). NLT

Have you? I believe all of life, real life is in knowing the Lord! I gave Him my life, I verbally invited Him to come in and forgive me of my sins as a teenager in North Carolina. He did! I have never gotten over that initial encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ!

I have found that in my life in the valleys and mountain top experiences there is truly one constant…God cares!

No matter the challenge, He is for you! However, we must acknowledge His nearness; we must make the conscious choice to embrace God, by loving Him, and loving the Son He sent!

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:9). NLT

Jesus will meet you at that beginning point of acceptance, and throughout the remainder of your life!

Stevin Curtis Chapman’s song reminds us that along the journey of life, there is one constant if you will just believe! Truly no matter the particular challenge you find yourself facing….Jesus will meet you there!
