The Apostle Paul said as much to a young man named Timothy...

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn't need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth." ( 2 Timothy 2:15).

The Book of Second Timothy reads like a last will and testament, and so it should… the Apostle Paul, is in prison in Rome, his earthly life is fading fast. There is an urgency about the letter, he desires to impart critical Biblical truths to Timothy a young man around 40 who Paul had mentored.

A brilliant missionary career is approaching sunset …and Paul desires to leave a legacy of truth, that will strengthen the young minister through the remaining years of his own life.

There is so much truth packed into the book, that we would be wise to make the study of it one of the priorities of life.
